The Flight

Good Day All,

As you will see below, I began this post yesterday but I have been so busy with Bob & Lesley visiting around Perth and spending last evening with one of their daughter's' families who live nearby and meeting with their two grandchildren that Blogging has had to take a back seat.  B & L have gone out shopping and I am going to try and catchup with some posts.

It's cold here this morning even by Western Australia standards and there have been high winds and heavy rain overnight so our planned trip today to Penguin Island near Rockingham has been cancelled but we are off for a seafood meal this evening.

So to pick up where I began yesterday, if you get my meaning,  at 7.30am on Wednesday 2nd October and it has been raining for the last few hours.  Since arriving I have enjoyed a whirlwind of activity with my friends here in Perth which I will tell you about in later postings.

This morning, we are taking our time after a very active day yesterday visiting the Mandurah Giants under peerless blue skies but after nearly 6 miles of walking a bit of rest is needed!

The flight with Quantus was comfortable with an attentive and friendly crew but with 16 hours and 13 minutes in the air very tedious. Having left London 30minutes late we arrived at 11.44am on Monday 30th September bang on time have covered 14583 kilometres.  Within 30 minutes I was through immigration and customs and emerged into the sunshine to be greeted by Bob and Lesley.

The photo is of our flight route.
