Day 11 Friday 11th October 2024: Sydney Captain Cook By Night!

A tour round the city again, following my return to Circular Quay, aboard the Big Bus and a brisk walk back from the Chinese Gardens stop for a 'wash and brush up' before walking the kilometre or so along the Darling Harbour promenade to the Kings Wharf to pick up Captain Cook's Sydney 2000 vessel for a Starlight Cruise.  The cruise wasn't busy, so I had a Grandstand Window seat and enjoyed a 3 course A la Carte meal whilst admiring the sights by night.

All the usual sights again from the water but this time by night!!  I think you should recognise them by now!!

See if you can spot the Southern Cross Star in one of the photos!  The moon was 'up' as they say but right overhead so no romantic shots with it over the harbour – may be next time!  There was too much light interference to make it a fully authentic 'Starlight Cruise'!!  There were a few couples, nevertheless,  sharing a glass of champagne on a very windy and cool top deck.

I'm pleased with the photos.  I hope you are too.
